Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of Cowbell Milk, has pledged its continued support for the youth of Orile-Iganmu, a sprawling community in Lagos.

Chief Keith Richards, Managing Director of the company made the pledge at the 7th convocation ceremony of Orile-Iganmu Progressive Association (OIPA) Training Institute held in Lagos at the weekend.
According to him, he is highly honoured to be part of the ceremony and assured the management of OIPA and students that Promasidor Nigeria Limited will continue to support the initiative.
Promasidor Nigeria Limited, a fast moving consumers goods (FMCG) company also donated five Intel Pentium computer systems with flat screen monitors to OIPA Training Institute to equip youth with computer packages in a bid to make them ICT compliant.
Earlier in his welcome address, Mr. Olabode Medale, President OIPA said the association is very grateful to Promasidor Nigeria Limited for its immense contribution to the success of the training programme and for its continued patronage of the ‘One Voice’ Newspaper, the community based newspaper.
Mr. Medale also commended the company for offering internship programmes to two of the graduands in its ICT department, adding that they are grateful and shall continue to appreciate Promasidor’s strive towards making life meaningful to the downtrodden masses of their community.
He furthermore said the computer institute has grown from being a mere training school to a skill acquisition centre with modern day equipment due to the support from its corporate sponsors.
Mr. Taiwo Oguntoye, currently on internship at Promasidor Nigeria Limited, in an interview said working in Promasidor has been a great privilege for him as he has been able to acquire and is still acquiring various valuable skills and knowledge.
Mr. Oguntoye added that he considers himself very fulfilled and favoured. “Being in Promasidor Nigeria Limited, has been a great privilege for me, because it was a dream come true. I want to say thank you to the people of OIPA, for giving me the opportunity to observe industrial training (IT) here in Promasidor Nigeria Limited, for the great knowledge that has been impacted and still impacting in me,” he said.
Miss Dialah Oluchi Daniella who emerged overall best among the 125 graduands went home with a brand new desk top computer and a printer.
Promasidor (Nigeria) Limited commenced operations in 1993 in Nigeria with the introduction of sachet packaging of Cowbell milk. Since then, the company has been manufacturing and marketing unique brands in the country which include: Cowbell milk, Cowbell chocolate, Cowbell flavoured milk drink, Loya full cream milk, Miksi, Top Tea, Onga food seasoning and Amila instant fruit flavoured powdered drink. The company has since inception continued to offer quality, value-for-money products in a consistent manner in the country as well as employing thousands of Nigerians into all levels of its operation in Lagos.
